Burgess BLA provides fixed plant mechanical on site services and also has gearbox overhaul and rebuild facilities in Kalgoorlie and Townsville. The fully equipped mobile workshops have been developed to be self sufficient and to improve the efficiency of the on site services division, minimising down time for clients.
The Company's Managing Director, Paul Burgess describes the Company, which started in the early 1990’s with the purchase of the latest advanced technology in laser alignment, today it is a small part of the business, but Burgess BLA key selling point is the experience that has been developed in large mechanical equipment (e.g. large gearing, large bearings).
Initially the Company started out doing minor jobs in the goldfields with only minimal staff. Burgess BLA today has grown to a workforce of approximatly fifty experience personnel servicing the mining industry across Australia and internationally.
Burgess BLA specialises in mechanical installation and maintenance on some of the largest rotating equipment in the world. The Company has been involved in many large projects including the installation of Ball Mills, SAG Mills and Cement Mills.
